Who doesn’t love in the venerable 45/7” format? Back in the 50's, the 45 became the dominant vinyl form of early rock and roll and continued launch every big musical artist until the late 1960's, when the lp became the key to musical fortunes. The early punk rockers committed themselves to making unforgettable singles on this format, revitalizing the 45 and putting it center stage again. It's still an important factor in the vinyl world, though the modern term is "7 inch".
