One of our great joys is to be involved with local music. The majority of our staff are members of current or former Indiana bands and two of us are active DJ's.
So when we say we eat sleep and drink music, we really mean it.
And when it comes to locally produced recordings, we try to offer you as much as we possibly can.
In the case of current music, we strongly encourage artists to bring us copies of their recordings. We'll put them in a prominent location, put up posters in store, etc. A promo copy is always appreciated and often results in in-store exposure. We offer easy consignment terms for all local artists.
Older Indiana music is always sought after by our buyers. If you have recordings of artists from bygone days, we want them. We will pay cash for local items that we know there is a market for. We are especially looking for local records from the 50's, 60's and 70's - rock, soul, jazz, rockabilly in particular; and punk/new wave/hardcore from the late 70's thru the present.
If you're still reading this, it's possible you might have unreleased recordings from days gone by. We might well be interested in those as a possible release on Indiana Avenue Recordings. Regardless, we'd like to know about them. Filling in the gaps of our fine musical history is a real passion for us.
